In the coming weeks, intern Julie Van Gestel will join the Expertise Unit Psychology, Technology & Society  as part of her exploratory internship during her 2nd year bachelor of applied psychology. She briefly introduces herself here.

I am Julie Van Gestel and I study Applied Psychology at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences. The next 8 weeks (February-March) I will have an internship at the expertise unit. My interest mainly concern the impact of social media on mental well-being, a topic which I have grown fond of throughout my studies.  I will therefore primarily do work on the impact of sociale media on (mental) well-being of youth coping with internalizeing disorders. Beyond that, I also want to learn a lot about the role of technology on (mental) health in general.
